The current range and availability of computing devices (eg smart phones, i-pads) and the power of mobile networks present organisations with a wide range of new opportunities and choices. Some staff also bring their own devices and expect to use them. A survey conducted by the RDA showed that 52% of businesses provided smart phones or iPads to their staff.
Many businesses are faced with the following issues re mobility: How do you manage mobility within an organisation? What are the risks? How do you benefit? Where are the opportunities? How can websites be optimised for mobile devices including smart phones and tablets?
