Loving Food – food waste grants for the community sector
The NSW EPA and Environmental Trust are hosting this one-day session for not for profits and other community organisations to detail everything they might want to know about applying for a NSW Government Waste Less, Recycle More food waste grant.
We’re wanting to encourage the sector to take up the opportunities available to them for funding for food donation and food waste education.
The two grant programs available are:
- Food donation grants providing up to $500,000 for fridges, freezers, vans and other equipment needed to collect, store and distribute rescued food to people in need.
- Love Food Hate Waste education grants providing up to $70,000 for education projects to help households and businesses waste less food.
The Loving Food program will include sessions on eligibility, selection criteria and the application process, as well as an opportunity to workshop proposals to give projects the best chance of success when it comes to applying.
Travel costs may be covered for people travelling long distances. Contact: Matteo Balatti on 02 9995 6960 or Matteo.Balatti@epa.nsw.gov.au
