The 5th Annual JAMS Symposium, Student Poster Competition and Dinner will be held on Wednesday the 16th of March 2016 at the Australian Museum, followed by dinner amongst the dinosaurs.
This year our guest speaker line up includes: Gene Tyson, Amelia Rotaru, Mark Schembi, Diane McDougald, and Jonathan Zehr.
Generously sponsored by ISME, the poster competition has a $500 prize. In addition, you stand to reap an immortalisation with the winners name added to the Jeff Powell Perpetual Student plaque.
Preceding the symposium and dinner will be a two day workshop (14th – 15th March) also at the museum. The main purpose being to introduce post-grads and early career post-docs to current approaches used in scruitinising microbial community and genomic datasets.
JAMS T-shirts are available as part of the registration process.

For parking, the best choice is the Domain car-park. Opposite the Australian Museum, across William St.
From Central Station, its 1.6km and 500m from Museum Station.
