Description

Discover the natural and cultural heritage of Brush Farm Park followed by a short tour of Brush Farm House and gardens. Learn about the local history and significance of Brush Farm House, the parcel of land that was Brush Farm Estate and the now Brush Farm Park. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the rainforest gully which has been regenerated by the local Bushcare volunteers over the last 30 years.

Time: 11.00am – 1.00pm (arrive 10.45am).

Location: Brush Farm Park.

Address: Entry off Lawson St, Eastwood.

Parking: Limited parking available onsite (entry off Lawson St).

Meeting Point: Near the netball hardcourts at Brush Farm Park. This walk will start and finish in the same location.

Suitability:

  • Easy to medium grade walk suitable for adults and/or families with primary or high school aged children who are competent walkers.
  • Walk distance is approximately 2.5km so a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required.
  • This walk is predominately conducted on bushtracks and will including some uneven ground, steep slopes, steps and a road crossing.
  • This walk is not suitable for strollers, prams or mobility devices.
  • All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
  • No dogs or pets.
  • No smoking.

Equipment: Please bring your own water, water bottle, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Clothing: Must be suitable for physical activity. Hats must be worn. Bring a jacket in the event of inclement weather.

Footwear: Shoes must be enclosed, have a non-slip sole and suitable for physical activity. Thongs, sandals and open toed shoes are not permitted.
