Design Futures: Secondary School Forum & Expo
Thursday May 14, 2015

4pm - 6pm  Careers Expo
6pm - 8pm  Design Forum

Design Futures 2015 is an informative and enthralling way for 2,500 secondary school students to discover the different design disciplines and choose a course that best suits their skills and interests. In a two-hour presentation, students will hear creative leaders tell illuminating stories describing what it’s like to build a career in their specific field of expertise.

Students will also have the chance to navigate a Design Course Careers Expo at which universities, TAFE colleges and design academies set up information stalls sharing details about career pathways. The Secondary School Forum assists in the transition from secondary into the tertiary education sector and explores pathways to a career in a broad range of design disciplines including communication design, branding and identity, product and industrial design, interactive and multimedia design and design for the built environment.
