Peter is stuck in a dead-end office job, drinking black coffee at the same cafe for the past six years. He's a bit over it but that's okay because the apocalypse is here. Outside, people are being shot dead, disintegrated by UFOs, dragged into the sewers by crocodile men, and trampled by Godzilla, but Peter's oblivious to it all. However, when his ex, Rachel, runs in, escaping the insanity outside, he's suddenly jerked back to reality. With all Hell outside and a stubborn ex inside, Peter has to deal with what he's done in the past to have a few more moments of peace in the present.
A year has passed since Perth last saw Peter and Rachel in their doomed cafe at the end of time, and now their back again with a few big differences.
Scott McArdle will be resuming the role of Peter, however, Sam Knox will be replaced by Emily David (No Exit, Hospital Beds, and Bye. Gone.) due to travel abroad.
Moving away from their venue at Murdoch, Second Chance Theatre will be rooted firmly at Moore & Moore Cafe Gallery from June-September due to a four month residency with the cafe. This means that, not only will the show be performed in an actual cafe space, but you'll be able to actually watch the show with coffee and cake, immersing yourself right in there with Peter and Rachel.
Seats are limited to only thirty a night, with one showing per month (the second Thursdays of June, July, August, and September only), so don't miss out on a show that was heralded as SCT's best.
