Chalkboard Lettering Workshop // Ashdown & Bee // Saturday 12 November 2016 (Afternoon)

Learn tricks of the trade with master signwriter and chalkboard artist Simon Murray. With 20+ years experience in the sign trade, and various qualificiations in the field, students will learn how to create their own chalkboard art.

Students will be designing their own take-home chalkboard (or 2!), with tips on layout, fonts, mediums and style.

Suitable for beginners. Small class of 6.

All materials will be provided on the day (chalkboards, pencils, chalk etc)

Cost includes snacks and drinks

Tickets must be pre purchased (no on-the-door sales).

What do I bring?
There is no need to bring anything as all materials will be provided. Just bring an idea of a wording you would want to draw on your board! We can help you with ideas on the day if you're stuck!

What does the cost include?
Workshop (approx 2.5-3 hrs), all materials, refreshments + nibblies, your own chalk art to take home (A4-A3)

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is street parking available on Edward St

Where is the workshop held?
This workshop will be in our own warehouse studio in Summer Hill.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes! If for any reason you cannot make it, you're welcome to pass this onto a friend.

All ages, 12+

Anyone interested in designing chalkboards for their weddings or event, home or as a gift for friends. Anyone interested or has a passion for typography and chalk lettering.
