Careers Update for Academics

Career readiness requires adaptability and a commitment to lifelong learning, along with mastery of key knowledge, skills and dispositions. Equipping students with these skills is a key focus for The University of Adelaide.

It will provide you with an opportunity to hear how the Careers Service develops strategies to engage students in early career planning and take away practical tools for your own portfolio.

On the day:

• Prepare for Open Day career discussions, with an update on the Tracking Project's survey on graduate employment.
• Be one of the first staff members to experience the 2015 Career Readiness Online Learning Module.
• Maximise employment potential for your students and yourself with online career management tools.
• Hear about the China Career Development program, a new initiative focussing on outcomes and support for our Chinese national students.
• Discover how the Careers Service team can help YOU.

Catering will be provided, starting with registration and coffee from 8.30am.
Please register your attendance for catering purposes by Monday 20 July.

While this event is targeted at academic staff, professional staff are welcome to attend.

I attended the 2014 Academic Forum, should I attend the 2015 Update?

Yes, Careers is a developing space and there have been many new initiatives to the Careers Service portfolio in the last 12 months. This event will give you new insights and new resources.

Are professional staff welcome to attend?

Yes! Although targeted at academic staff, professional staff are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, Careers Service loves the environment and would prefer that you didn't. A name badge will be prepared for you to collect during registration starting from 8:30am.
