Welcome to the 'Barista Path 1', hosted at Collingwood Coffee College, Proud Mary Coffee Roasters education hub. 

 

The following course is suitable for people currently employed, or interested in becoming employed in specialty coffee.

 

'Barista Path 1' will develop your knowledge of and skills in of espresso extraction and coffee-making so you can consistently produce and replicate a quality product. 

'Barista Path 1 is a four-hour non-accredited course delivered by Lisa Feeley (certified Educator and Licensed Q Grader) who will provide a learning environment where you can try, test and clarify brewing espresso coffee, milk texturing and putting it all into action! Lisa will provide you with resources to take home and enable you to keep practicing!

Only 4 spots per class to ensure maximum time and attention can be given to all attendees.

By the end of this class you will be able to:

  1. Understand espresso extraction and the variables a Barista will need to regularly manage.

  2. Dial in the grinder to achieve a balanced espresso and good extraction.

  3. Texture milk and milk types for a good and glossy outcome.

  4. Pour and present a current coffee menu including customer variations.

  5. Introduce a cleaning and maintenance regime.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Tram #86 runs regularly to Smith Street Collingwood. Stop 18 Hodgson Street is a quick walk across the road, down Stanley Street, past Proud Mary Cafe to Wellington Street. Proud Mary Coffee Roasters (and Aunty Peg's) is across the road to your right. Enter via middle door.

On Saturdays parking is available on Wellington Street directly outside Aunty Peg's with active parking meters.  

What can I wear?
You can wear anything comfortable and warm however it is important that you wear enclosed shoes. 

 

Can I update my registration information if it changes prior to the class?

Absolutely! To update simply contact the organiser lisa@proudmarycoffee.com.au

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can bring the confirmation email on your smartphone or a printed copy of the confirmation email if you prefer.

 

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Absolutely, please contact the organiser to transfer and update details lisa@proudmarycoffee.com.au.

 

What is the refund policy?

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to make the class and cannot reschedule to the next class then a full refund will be issued or alternativley you can transfer the class registration to another coffee lover! This needs to be done 7 days prior to course commencement.

Collingwood Coffee College is the education hub of Proud Mary Coffee. A one-stop shop of coffee education and training to help find the best option for you. All courses are short training workshops comprising of course objectives, practical activities to try, test and clarify the required skills and knowledge.

All courses are delivered by industry professionals who will provide each learner resources to take home and keep practicing!

Each course has maximum spots per class to ensure maximum time and attention can be given to all attendees.
