About this event

  • 2 hours

Flautist, Masahide Kurita, is well known internationally for his outstanding technical virtuosity, rich tone and sensitive, profound musicality. His delicately nuanced attention to detail gives his music-making a rare honesty, beauty, and flavour, unlike other flautists.

Pianist, Dr Kenji Fujimura is internationally renowned for his pianistic ability to present an eclectic range of repertoire with ‘understanding, sympathy and technical prowess’. In 2015, Kenji was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, for his ‘significant contribution to the music profession’.

It is an honour to have such remarkable musicians here at Opus 30.

This evocative, romantic recital includes key masterworks by Anton Dvorak - Sonatina for violin and piano in G Major Op,100, transcribed for flute and piano; Carl Nielsen's two fantasy pieces; and the simply gorgeous Cesar Franck Sonata for violin and piano in A Major ( transcribed for flute and piano).
