UCL SSEES

UCL SSEES

We are one of the UK's largest institutions for research and teaching on Russia, the Baltics, and Central, Eastern and South-East Europe. We offer undergraduate, graduate taught and graduate research programmes within the School, covering our four core disciplines: Economics and Business; Politics and Sociology; Languages and Culture, and History.

Our flexible BA programmes combine core disciplines with a focus on the SSEES region (Russia, The Baltics, Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe). SSEES graduates can be found globally, in a wide range of careers from banking and finance, policy making and security analysts, translation, media, law and further study.

Our MA and MRes programmes cover our four key areas; Economics and Business; Politics and Sociology; History and Languages and Culture and provide students with flexibility in choice of modules.

A PhD at SSEES offers students the chance to study in central London, in a vibrant research community. We offer research supervision in all four of our disciplinary areas: Economics & Business; Politics & Sociology: Languages, Literature & Culture; and History.

Your studies will be supported not only by expert supervisors, but also by a great variety of seminar series, conferences, lectures, workshops and other opportunities. SSEES Research Students have their own Seminar Series which is a chance to showcase their research to their peers.
