Helping your community can be daunting. You don’t know where to start, who to help, or how your donation is used. We’re here to change that.
We’re One Community, a specialist team of local experts who put donations to work through a growing network of over 2,500 Kirklees-based charities and community organisations.
We’re proudly independent. On a mission to do good. Using our community connections to make sure every donation makes the most impact.
This year we have awarded 307 grants totalling £1,221,296 out of 502 Applications. This sadly means 195 projects that went to panel were unsuccessful mainly due to be oversubscribed.
However, we cannot achieve this alone. To make a real and lasting difference, we need the backing of local businesses, philanthropists, and ongoing support from the local authority.
This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, despite the immense challenges posed by the cost of living crisis. Our staff and volunteers have demonstrated dedication and exceptional skill, working tirelessly to ensure every donated penny makes the greatest possible impact in our local communities.
