Erosh is a national consortium for older people’s housing and support with its own quality standards framework.
- Through our own Independent Living Standards and dissemination of good practice, uphold standards in the sector and celebrate good quality older people’s housing and support
- Highlight the preventative benefits of independent living services and sheltered and retirement housing and the valuable cost-saving contribution it makes to health and social care
- Ensure older people are proactively involved in the design, delivery and development of their services
- Ensure older people’s housing and support services are affordable, accessible and inclusive, meet current and future need and promote empowerment, independence and choice
- Make sure staff are appropriately and regularly trained, and comply with the professional standards encompassed in our own Independent Living Standards.
- Promote independent living schemes as hubs for all older people in communities to combat social isolation and loneliness
