Drawing Projects UK was created in 2009 by Anita Taylor to develop and promote research initiatives in drawing, including the annual Jerwood Drawing Prize, now known as the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize. In 2015, in partnership with international curator and former museums director Gary Sangster, the remit of Drawing Projects UK expanded to form a Centre for Drawing & Contemporary Art in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. A unique creative and cultural hub, we present curated exhibitions, events, and opportunities to make, see and discuss drawings and contemporary art. With a project space, exhibition spaces, workspaces for artists, creative and cultural enterprises, bookable meeting rooms and a cafe, we are conveniently located by Trowbridge Station. Drawing Projects UK delivers a range of on-site and off-site projects, nationally and internationally.
