Catalyst is a novel, selective 2-week summer programme offered by Winchester College. The course is designed collaboratively by leading Winchester educators along with practiced global leaders – Antarctic explorers, Stanford Physicists, entrepreneurs, among others – and explores the topic of ‘change’ through lenses into change in the past, present, and future. The interdisciplinary course covers a range of content – magic, alchemy and the scientific method… identity, political science, and identity politics… existential threats like the climate crisis – while challenging students to imagine, and take steps toward, the change they wish to create in the world.
