Hello! We are Abigail, and Sami. We have both experienced being a person who is looking for disability/mental health support, and experienced working within the system.

Though we acknowledge everyone’s experiences are unique, we have 20+ years of experience within the ever-changing mental health and disability system. We have assisted service seekers with forging their way through the process of finding the right support, but also have 30+ years of lived experience - assisting their own family members with navigating these processes as well.

We developed www.askas.com.au because we wanted:

• To allow service seekers and service providers a safe forum to share, and fulfil service requests
• To empower service seekers to make decisions in all aspects of their care
• To provide service seekers with an easy means of locating relevant disability support
• To provide an open platform for providers, and sole traders to advertise their service and engage with service seekers
• To build a community within a community, allowing for shared knowledge and resources
• To allow service providers an opportunity to seek skilled workers for their ever growing workforce
