Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)
Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)
Entrepreneurship is bold — but it's not meant to be solitary. AWE is where Alberta's women entrepreneurs find the confidence, capital, and community to build businesses that last. Since 1995, we've been showing up for women at every stage of the journey, with guidance that cuts through the noise and people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
Here's how we support you:
Loans Up to $150,000 — You've got goals. We've got capital designed to help you reach them. AWE loans are built specifically for women entrepreneurs and come bundled with ongoing professional business advice, because funding should come with support, not just a cheque.
Business Learning & Skills Development — Our programs are designed to meet you exactly where you are and help you grow with intention. Learn alongside cohorts of women entrepreneurs who get it, from quick practical webinars or hands-on Learning Labs delivering skills you can put to work immediately, to longer more focused cohort programs to support you in gaining clarity and a strategy to move your business forward.
Business Advising — Whether you're navigating a growth challenge, refining your marketing, or working through the financials, our advisors bring real-world expertise and honest guidance. They're founders, strategists, and operators building businesses in Alberta right now, and they're here so you don't have to build alone.
Community — The AWE Community Network is more than a platform, it's a place where you can form meaningful connections and collaborate with like-minded women entrepreneurs. Connect through topic-focused channels, access a library of resources and recorded webinars, and engage in conversations that move your business forward. Show up in person at our Connect Events held across Alberta throughout the year, including our annual AWE Summit. However you like to connect, you don't have to build alone.
Come as you are. Build as you go. You've got the drive, we've got the tools. Let's build something that lasts.
