Poultry Research Foundation University of Sydney

The Poultry Research Foundation was one of the original Foundations established within the University of Sydney by the University Senate, in October 1958. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide an interface between The University of Sydney and the Australian poultry and allied industries. The Foundation sponsors industry-related research, assists in the training of scientific personnel and acts in an industrial liaison capacity. The Foundation’s contribution to the development of the Australian poultry and stockfeed industries has been achieved through research programs directed at achieving better understanding of nutrition, health, welfare, food safety and other fields important to the industries.

The Australian Poultry Science Symposium (APSS) is the premier avian science conference in Australasia and attracts delegates from right across the country and around the World. The symposium is renowned for is vast array of industry relevant science and also for the excellent opportunities it affords the next generation of poultry scientists.
