Nick Poulos Performance Consulting
Nick Poulos is a high-performance leader with nearly 25 years of experience shaping elite sporting environments across AFL, international rugby and track and field. He holds a PhD in Sports Science focused on complex training and Post-Activation Performance Enhancement (PAPE) and has guided programs through finals campaigns, international tournaments and Olympic and Commonwealth Games cycles, managing the demands of some of the world’s most intense team-sport calendars.
Known for his attention to detail, technical expertise and ability to align high-performance departments under pressure, Nick has refined and evolved systems and processes to develop robust and resilient athletes, while fostering collaboration between performance and medical teams to deliver clarity and consistency. His experience includes leading high-performance programs in the AFL with the GWS Giants and Adelaide Crows, international rugby with Australia’s Men’s Sevens and track and field with Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence in Doha, where he collaborated with some of the world’s leading sports scientists and coaches.
His career has also spanned the Japan Rugby League One (formerly the Japan Top League) with Toyota Verblitz and preparing Tonga for the 2003 Rugby World Cup.
