​​UQ has deep expertise across its Faculties and Institutes to shape responses to the pressing global challenge of climate change. ​​Research at UQ spans from technical climate modelling, through to how to tailor responses to climate change impacts on biodiversity, agriculture, built environments, the health sector, and people and communities. UQ researchers also have expertise in how to respond to climate change through business and finance, law and policy, and political processes.​

The purpose of the UQ Climate Change Research network is to:

• Provide a visible presence to internal and external stakeholders as to the breadth and depth of expertise in climate change across UQ;
• Encourage cross-disciplinary engagement across Faculties, Institutes, and capability areas;
• Facilitate opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations, including through large-scale funding opportunities; and
• Build capacity in multidisciplinary climate change research, including through development of early- and mid-career researchers.
