Come along to Eurobodalla Libraries this August and celebrate Family History Month.

Professional writing teacher, mentor and editor Rae Luckie will be running family history writing workshops at each of our branches. Whether you are interested in writing your own family history or memoir, or using family history as a basis for fiction writing this workshop will give you the information, ideas, and resources to develop your project and spark your creativity.

Rae holds a PhD in autobiographical writing, Graduate Diplomas in Education and Family History, and a Masters in History where she specialised in family history.

Rae can help you with:

  • Where do I begin?
  • Researching family/history.
  • Writing tips: bringing your history to life.
  • About publishing/copyright.
  • Delights, perils, and pitfalls — whose story?

Participants need to bring writing paper, pens, coloured pencils or textas, and a photo of a place you would like to write about.

Cost: $5 per person. Bookings required.
