A day of movement and connection in the Victorian mountains.

Join us as we hike to the Mt Stirling Summit, enjoy some outdoor yoga and mindfulness, plus connection and conversation with other amazing women.

Women Out Wild events are a chance to connect with your body, yourself, other women and the power of nature.

There's a growing body of science proving what we've known in our bones for eons. Time in nature, movement and connection with others heals. When we make space to come back to the present moment, feel the land beneath our feet and connect with the people before us, we often find our way home to feelings of peace, gratitude and greater clarity.

We hope you'll come explore with us!

Starts 10am and ends roughly 3:30pm in the afternoon.

There are 12 spaces on the day and we're running this one on a by-donation basis.

Hosts:

Your hosts for this event are Uschi Steedman (yoga instructor, trained groupwork facilitator and mountain soul), Kate Hood (Positive Psychology practitioner, mother, and teacher) and Jo Bell (Positive Psychology practitioner, teacher and mother).

We all share a deep love for the healing power of nature, movement and connection and we can't wait to share it with you!

We'll run through some gentle yoga practices, mindfulness practices and perhaps some breathwork. For those who are interested we can dive into the science behind it all ... Or... if we all simply want to sink into the power of nature and the innate wisdom of our bodies we can just allow the experience to speak for itself.

THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS

Hike length & difficulty: The hike is a 16km loop of a roughly intermediate level. (You'll want to be comfy walking up a few hills - but there are no rock scrambles or technical sections).

Location: We'll meet and end at Telephone Box Junction on Mt Stirling.

Gear: Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and layers (including bringing a rain jacket). Bring a hat and sunnies, sufficient water and lunch and snacks. This is NOT a catered event and it's important you bring all your gear and food for yourself.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is not a 'guided hike' as such (we're not hiking guides). Instead this is a chance to get into the mountains together and connect and engage in some other practices that can help you to feel vital and alive. So you need to feel comfy taking responsibility for your own wellbeing while out on the hike.
