Join principal reviewer Huon Hooke and contributors, and taste some of the wines for The Real Review’s inaugural Wine Classifications of Australia and NZ. This is a chance to taste rare, back-vintage wines.
The Real Review’s panel will be tasting back-vintages of prospective classification wines over several days in Sydney. After each tasting, we would like to share these special wines with our loyal followers.
These exclusive, never-to-be-repeated events will take place at Fix Wine Bar + Restaurant in the Sydney CBD between 5:30-7:30pm.
Price AUD $129 per person. Limited places available.Stand-up tasting of up to 60 very limited, back-vintage classification candidates, including grazing station of charcuterie and cheese.
- Session 4 (Tuesday 31 May): Chardonnay, shiraz and blends. These include wines from Henschke, Torbreck, Yarra Yering, Best’s Wines, Bindi, Head Wines, Lake Breeze Wines, Brokenwood Wines, Mount Pleasant, Tyrrell’s Wines, Jasper Hill, Paringa Estate, Freycinet, Craiglee and more.

- Session 1 (Monday 23 May): Semillons, sauvignon blanc/semillon blends, rieslings and pinot noirs. BOOK HERE. These include wines from Freycinet, Paringa Estate, Wine by Farr, Cullen, Bindi, Two Paddocks and more.
- Session 2 (Tuesday 24 May): Rieslings, pinot noirs, grenaches and sundry reds. BOOK HERE. These include wines from Freycinet, Best’s Wines, Robert Stein Vineyard, Pooley Wines, Seville Estate, Torbreck, Head Wines, Yarra Yering and more.
- Session 5 (Monday 6 June): Cabernet sauvignons and blends, and fortified wines. BOOK HERE. These include wines from Henschke, Yarra Yering, Yering Station, Shingleback, Deep Woods Estate, Stella Bella Wines, Lake Breeze Wines, Fraser Gallop Estate, Helm, All Saints Estate, Campbells, Hardys, Stanton & Killeen, Talijancich and more.
