We thought long and hard about what we can do this Pick Up Party to best showcase Silk Road and thought let’s have a Wild Night!
To start the party we will meet at Cellar Door//Grand Flor at 5PM to share some charcuterie, taste some new releases, sample the freshly made Wallflower from barrel and indulge on your favourite current release Eldorado Road wine.
At 7PM we head next door to Tanswells upstairs ballroom. The open fire will be crackling, the wines flowing and the party humming. We will enjoy a feast of the senses with all things wild. We are talking game, venison, goat, yabbies and whatever the kitchen can find that’s wild, game on!
The table will be graced with wild game and accompanied with some special Eldorado Wines, a feast to behold. This will be our first outing for Silk Road, our hero for the evening. This dry grown old vine Shiraz will be complimented with museum release Beechworth Chardonnay, a savoury Riserva Nero and a brooding back vintage Onyx Durif all perfectly matched to wild game. We will finish with some decadent desserts accompanied with some rare Inner Sanctum Muscat, dripping with flavour, think raisins, Turkish delight and aromas of rose petals. Sampled straight from the special muscat barrel solely reserved for our Pick Up Parties, I can think of no better way to finish this feast.
