Western Harbour Tunnel Stage 2 has now reached another milestone with the start of roadheader tunnel excavation from the Ridge Street construction site starting in May 2024.

As a resident located near our Ridge Street tunnelling activities, we’d like to invite you to our upcoming information session.

About Western Harbour Tunnel

Western Harbour Tunnel is part of the NSW Government's biggest infrastructure project in history.

The project will be a 6.5km tunnel built with three lanes in each direction. It will connect the Rozelle Interchange to the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney, crossing underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton.

The Western Harbour Tunnel project is being delivered in two stages. The northern section of the tunnel, Stage 2, is being delivered by ACCIONA.

Stage 2 includes connections from Stage 1 at Cove Street, Birchgrove, to the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney, tunnelling underneath Sydney Harbour and the complete tunnel fit-out.
