Ready to get your weave on!?

Join Nature Therapy Guide Monique Ross for an evening of creativity and connection. You will make your own coil earrings (or brooch) using the blanket stitch technique.

A range of premium hand-dyed raffia and hemp cord is available, and a variety of hypoallergenic earring backs are provided. You are also welcome to bring additional materials eg feathers or beads.


This workshop has a maximum of 12 participants, and is suitable for people 12 years and over.

Classes are held indoors at Kelvin Grove, and run from 6.00pm-8.00pm.

Light snacks are provided, along with tea/coffee.

All people are welcome, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their craft.

Where?


This experience takes place in the beautiful Garden Room at the Quaker Meeting House, at Kelvin Grove, in Brisbane/Meanjin, on Turrbal and Jagera country.

Parking is available on site.

Please note there are a handful of stairs between the car park and the venue room. If you have any accessibility or mobility concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Meet your host


Monique Ross is an experienced certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, who trained with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. She is the founder of Heartwood Nature Bathing.

She discovered basket weaving at a nature connection course and fell in love. She is passionate about sharing the art of weaving, and creating other weaving addicts :)

She is also a journalist, author, and cat-mum.

Monique has up-to-date certifications in Remote and Wilderness Area First Aid, and full public liability insurance. All of the appropriate permits have been secured.
