Insiders know that the best views of Sydney's Festival of Lights are from the harbour - and we don't mean the water's edge.
Join digiDirect and Sony for a very special event aboard 'Hamptons Sydney' - a purpose-built vessel with great stability, an outdoor roof deck, and a lower wrap-around glassed main deck providing plenty of photo opportunities. You'll capture the lights of Vivid from Sydney's very best vantage points during our 2 (plus) hour Vivid Photographic Experience.
Representatives from Sony will be on hand with equipment for you to try out. With a focus on professional bodies like the A1, A7R VI, A9 III & A7 IV, you can get hands on with some of the most powerful cameras on the market.
Sony Advocate Robin Moon (@robin_moon_photography) will also be on board to help you get the most out of your gear. Robin has extensive experience shooting from the water and will be able to support with any technical questions.
If you're not a Sony shooter, don't worry! This event is for photographers & creators of all levels. Whether you're a novice with a smartphone or a seasoned pro, you'll be able to capture incredible views and talk to industry experts.
Food and drinks will be provided throughout the evening. The bar will also be open for the purchase of harder liquor.

IMPORTANT: Attendees must be at King St Wharf 7 - by 6:35 pm for a 6:50 pm embarkation.
We have a strict allotted 15-minute window at the dock, so if you're not at the embarkation point on time, you will miss the boat.
Bring your camera gear, and remember to bring plenty of memory cards and charged batteries. Tripods are welcome, although we can't guarantee everyone will have the opportunity to use them. Also, we're not strict on branding, so it doesn't matter if you're using a different brand's camera on the event night - it's all about the experience. Sony will have gear available to test on the night - please ensure you bring an SD card if you would like to test their cameras and take your images home with you.
This is a ticketed, private event with limited places, and it's sure to be an unforgettable VIVID experience.
