FAQs

How much does this event cost?

Nothing!

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, you need to be a current University of Toronto student. Don't forget your student ID!

What is a hackathon?

Hackathons are events where people compete to build cool projects in under 24 hours. All skill levels are highly welcome, don't be intimidated.

Do I need to have a team?

You're more than welcome to make a team before the event, but many people turn up without a team. So don't worry, we'll help everyone find a team before you start hacking. To be eligible for prizes, your team should have no more than 4 people.

What should I bring?

A laptop is essential. Bring all the chargers you need, cables and anything else you need.

Can I sleep at the venue?

Unfortunately the venue will be closed overnight between 11pm and 10am! We still encourage you to continue hacking overnight, with mentor support available on both days.
