Simon Hanna

National Professional Services Manager

Simon Hanna, an optometist with two decades of rich experience. Simon's journey spans from frontline public health practice to stewardship of a private optometry practice. His tenure includes esteemed roles such as tertiary educator at the University of Melbourne and nearly a decade dedicated to policy and education initiatives at Optometry Australia. Presently, Simon channels his expertise within the corporate pharmaceutical realm at Bausch & Lomb. Simon is renowned for his exceptional presentation skills and adeptness in captivating audiences of diverse sizes. His ability to deliver compelling content and facilitate workshops leaves attendees empowered and inspired to enact meaningful change. In 2022, he was appointed the National Professional Services Manager with Bausch & Lomb. Simon has a passion for Medicare billing and compliance and regularly assists optometrists in areas of professional services, helping practitioners with contract, billing, business, and clinical queries. Simon was elected as a Board Director at Optometry Victoria/South Australia in 2022 and in 2023, was appointed as a panel member at the Department of Health’s Professional Services Review.

Dan White

Marketing Manager

Dan joined Bausch & Lomb Vision Care in December 2020 and brings a little over 20 years’ experience in both sales and marketing and has thoroughly enjoyed making the transition from the animal health industry into the optical industry. Originally from Oxford in the UK, Dan is based in our Chatswood office and holds the position of Marketing Manager for both the Lens and Lens Care Divisions of B+L Australia. A keen squash player, Dan also enjoys the great outdoors and watching NRL rugby although doesn’t favour any one team in particular. He has recently had to accept he is also an emerging presbyope having reached that age!
