About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Tiny Forests are densely packed patches of native bushland the size of a tennis court, right in the heart of our cities. These urban wildlife oases help to reconnect people with nature and mitigate our urban climate and biodiversity challenges.

Ku-ring-gai Council is working with Earthwatch Australia to establish our first Tiny Forest in West Pymble. The forest will be a Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest (STIF), a Critically Endangered ecological community in Ku-ring-gai.

What to expect

Join us for a fun day of planting our Tiny Forest. No previous experience is necessary. Friendly Earthwatch staff will be on hand to show you what needs to be done and answer any questions. Please bring your own gloves and trowels if you have them, there will be some supplied for those that don’t.

Wear comfortable gardening clothes, closed shoes, hat, sunscreen and bring your water bottle.
