Secondary School Students Leadership Festival
Year 11 & 12 Students, 2025
Inspiration for senior students to implement, review and enliven school-based pastoral outreach, advocacy and justice learning projects
“Do not bury your talents, the gifts that God has given you! Do not be afraid to do great things!” – Pope Francis
Did you know that taking action for justice is integral to what it means to be a Christian? Get ready for an exciting encounter and some serious inspiration that will stir you to get involved, engage others, and create transformation in your school and community. This event is going to be ground-breaking! You’ll hear some amazing speakers, nationally and international keynote speaker Father Greg Boyle, SJ, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, who will share their stories and insight into how to create a positive impact in the world! We’ll have input, discussion, a Q&A panel, multimedia presentations, great music – where you’ll experience practical strategies for making a difference, whether it’s through organising events, advocating for causes your school is passionate about, or volunteering in the local community. By the end of the day, you’ll be equipped with the tools and incentive to breathe new life into existing projects and foster new ones. Get ready to ignite your desire for justice and become an agent of change in your school.
