The Evening's Itinerary:

5:30 PM - 6:30pm: Embark on a journey of discovery with an engaging lecture by Dr. Ana Gracanin, a conservation biologist with a deep-seated passion for safeguarding our planet's endangered species, including the mesmerising Greater Glider found in the Southern Highlands! Hosted in the Mittagong RSL's Alexander Room, this compelling presentation will unveil the hidden nocturnal world of our area and delve into how each of us can contribute to the survival of these extraordinary animals.

6:30 PM - 7:00pm: Mingle with fellow nature enthusiasts while you enjoy light refreshments.

7:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Leave venue and meet at Spotlighting site for participants with spotlighting tickets.

7:30 to 8:30pm: For the daring and adventurous, a limited-spotlighting expedition awaits. Led through the heart of Mt Gibraltar Heritage Reserve, this group of 25 will venture into the night in search of the elusive Greater Gliders and other nocturnal life. It's a rare chance to witness the reserve's nocturnal biodiversity firsthand.

Landcare NSW and the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust are working together to raise awareness and support private land conservation efforts across the state.

Details to Note:

Capacity: Lecture up to 100 attendees, Spotlighting Expedition limited to 25 participants.

Preparation: Adventurers should gear up for a trek over uneven terrain in low light if booked for the spotlighting event. Bring torch and binoculars if you have them.

RSVP: Essential for both lecture and spotlighting to secure your spot.
