Sweet County (2017) - Central Victorian Indigenous Film Festival

North Central Catchment Management Authority is proudly participating in the Central Victorian Indigenous Film Festival 2024. The screening of Sweet Country will follow a Welcome to Country by Djaara Elder, Jason Kerr.

Sweet Country is based on a series of true events set in 1920s Northern Territory, an Aboriginal farmhand kills a white man in self-defense, then flees into the Outback, where he is pursued by a determined lawman.

Sweet Country is rated MA15+ and may cause discomfort to First Nation Peoples. Viewers discretion advised.
