This highly interactive stand-up comedy course will help you to master the art of storytelling, joke-writing and presenting on stage.
Course Overview
Are you curious about how stand up comedy can help you to be a better storyteller or be more engaging when you're presenting at work? Then this is the course for you!
This course will involve a deep dive into the structure of jokewriting, your unique style of humour, and how you can grow your stage presence.
Through this course, you'll gain the tools to perform stand up comedy and will write a small set.
Topics
➤ Joke-writing: We will teach you the structure of a joke and how you can maximise laughs.
➤ Storytelling: You will become more confident in telling stories that resonate with audiences.
➤ Stage presence: We will help you to improve your presence when on stage and in social situations.
➤ Crowd work: Gain new skills in how to better interact with crowds.
➤ Scriptwriting: Learn techniques that will improve your writing ability and creativity.
➤ Public speaking: Gain new public speaking skills that will improve your timing, delivery and confidence when on stage and speaking with others.
Duration
➤ This 5-hour course is held over two consecutive Thursdays. Ie the Thursday listed in this booking and the very next Thursday.
➤ Class is 6:30pm-9:00pm
