About this event

Specialist Series Overview

As experts in their respective fields, specialist teachers are engaged with a broad scope of learners on a daily basis. The Culture Tech Specialist Series is a weekly professional learning opportunity for teachers working across specialist areas to incorporate innovative teaching and learning through the use of iPad and Apple Pencil.

Working with an accredited Apple Professional Learning Specialist, each workshop will focus on the simple incorporation of Apple Native and common apps to a specific specialist learning area to enhance curriculum delivery and student assessment capability. In demonstrating specific links to Australian Curriculum outcomes, and supported by local classroom examples, specialist teachers will be confident to immediately apply this professional learning to their practice in authentic and meaningful ways.

Session 5: Learning Support

In this workshop we will explore Book Creator as a curriculum and assessment tool, linking to individual student learning goals underpinned by 21st century skills. The days of students having limited opportunity to demonstrate understanding have passed, and Book Creator will allow students to display application of a specific concept or skill in an innovative way. Designed to inspire and develop timely and practical digital tasks, Learning Support will be reimagined in your school whilst incorporating all key learning areas and general capabilities.
