S.N.A.P Photography Classes - Term 2 2024

Cost $150 for 6 sessions plus booking fee

The photography classes are aimed at getting participants to advance their knowledge of how to use their cameras and take them off auto.

Sessions will involve practical work with homework and sharing.

We aim:

• to share ideas and knowledge about photography with enthusiastic participants
• to share an understanding of camera functions and photography basics
• to share knowledge and techniques of photography.

The course structure :

Saturday 4 May 10.00am - 12.30pm

Getting to know your camera and how to use it – Principles of Photography – exposure triangle, shutter speed, aperture, ISO

Wednesday 8 May 6:00 – 8:30pm

Principles of Photography – Depth of field and composition techniques.

Saturday 11 May – 10:00 am– 12:30pm

S – Scenery – How to improve your ability to photograph scenery. - Excursion to Anglesea River for practical session.

Saturday 18 May - 10:00 am– 12:30pm

N – Nature – Exploring nature photography – plants, animals, weather - Excursion in local area

Wednesday 22 May – 6:00 – 8:30pm

A – Action – Photographing action subjects, movement. Freezing and blurring the action. Discussion of photos taken.

Wednesday 29 May – 6:00 – 8:30pm

P – People – Photographing people in their natural environment.
