Course Overview
To start, we’ll go around the group and each say a little about who we are. We’ll give an outline of what will be covered, then discuss the aims of the group more generally. Participants will be invited to articulate some of their own objectives too. After that, learning activities will commence.
Topics covered in this course
What is Self-Leadership?
This session you’ll learn about the fundamentals of self-leadership. We’ll review the homework you did prior to this class, talk about the people in your circle of mentors and then dive into the four tools for successful leadership: learning about yourself, focusing on the tasks at hand, continuing to learn the skillsets that will best help you accomplish your goals, and then applying the learnings.
Knowing Who You Are
In this training you will learn how to create a meaningful personal vision and then set goals directed by that vision. Now, an implementation session is designed to help you make your dreams come true – from script to stage!
Change Management
In this session, participants emerged better prepared to manage change. With increased insight into how control encourages the outcomes one desires, we are more likely to take action to change our own behaviours and expectations in ways that lead to a different outcome.
Knowing What You Do
The next level of exploration helps students identify their abilities and strengths, and taught to stay present. They create a plan for response to shape their self-discipline, for responding effectively both to positive invitations and limiting barriers. They create a life-learning plan – just maybe – learning what’s most relevant for the whole lifelong learning ahead!
Motivation for Optimists
The presenters then invite them to ‘CHOOSE TO GROW!’ They’ll walk participants ‘through a series of specific and tested strategies that will help to fuel your own personal optimism engine, create a more encouraging climate that’s conducive to growth, learn the ABC’s to support optimism, and begin identifying what positives are attempting to get YOUR attention through the Trivium of Mental Resilience in the face of adversity.’
Using What Right
After this kind of review, the book focuses on how you can best care for yourself – physically and emotionally – so that you’ll have as much strength as possible to become the ‘best’ self you can be; the kind of person who can successfully lead him or herself with as much confidence as possible.
Workshop Wrap-Up
Throughout the course, participants will then be equipped to use the Q&A sessions to expand their learning journey and identify an achievable action plan.
