About this event

Build your seed saving skills by learning how to save the right seed, prepare seeds for storage, monitor seed quality and grow from seed. Check out the flourishing community garden onsite and take home a selection of seeds from the Newcastle Seed Library for your garden.

The Newcastle Seed Library is a community seed sharing project supported by Newcastle Libraries. It is like a regular library, yet for seeds.

The Seed Library is free for library members who can take home some seeds, just as they would borrow a book. After growing in their garden, they are encouraged to harvest and return seeds to the Seed Library for others to borrow.
