About this event

Sea Monsters offers an exciting experience that combines real fossils from millions of years ago and giant replicas, including a 13-meter long Elasmosaurus and a 9-meter Prognathdon.

Dive into the secret lives of these fascinating creatures with interactive displays and immersive experiences.

Not for the faint-hearted, Sea Monsters will ignite the imagination of all ages.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need tickets?

Yes, preferably pre-purchase, but purchase may be available on the day, however there will be limited numbers to ensure the enjoyment of all visitors.

How long is my session?

Each session runs for 3 hours, you must arrive during your designated session time. You can then enjoy the exhibition as long as you like.

Can I get a pass out?

Pass outs are only available for visitors needing to use the public bathrooms, or at the YAM staff discretion.

Is parking available?

Parking is available at A 7-level parking station is located behind YAM and can be accessed from Castle Street or Vernon Street. All-day car parking is available on levels 4 and above. Coffs Harbour CBD also offers ample street parking options. https://www.yarrilaartsandmuseum.com.au/visit#parking

Can I take photographs?

You can take photos, for personal use only. No tripods, professional camera or video camera equipment allowed.

Can I bring food?

There is no food or drink allowed in the Gallery. The 2D Coffee House is located in Yarilla Place and is a great place to stop in and enjoy. The cafe serves delicious local Dark Arts Coffee Roastery coffee, fresh food and snacks.

Can I bring a pram?

Yes, absolutely. Backpacks and large bags are strongly discouraged and staff may ask you to remove your backpack or stow your bag for the safety of other visitors and the exhibitions.

Is there merchandise or a shop at the Gallery?

Yes, we will have fun and educational items available for purchase in the Gallery gift shop!

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are not offered on tickets unless Yarrila Arts and Museum is required to close due to unforeseen circumstances.

What if I need to change my ticket day?

If you need to change your ticket or can’t attend, with 48 hours notice, we are happy to transfer your tickets to another day. There is a $5 per ticket transaction fee associated with changes. Contact YAM at yam@chcc.nsw.gov.au or (02) 6648 4700
