This seminar, led by Dr Amanullah De Sondy, will explore the varied historical journeys of Scottish Muslims (approx. population 80,000), particularly in Glasgow, who made it their home with a critical discussion on contemporary issues of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and pluralism. This will be illustrated through key figures in Scottish society who shape society, theology and action. Aman will also speak personally on his parents' journey from Sialkot in Pakistan to Glasgow in Scotland in the 1950s.
