About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for a fun and creative event where you get to play with our huge stash of earring findings to create 3 unique pairs of earrings to take home on your own display cards.

Who is this workshop for?

This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners who would like to learn the basics of connecting jewellery findings or those who fancy a relaxing and creative morning.

We have a range of very cool designs and findings especially for teenagers and all earring hooks and hoops are high quality, 304 Surgical Stainless Steel, ideal for sensitive ears.

I will show you the tools you need to connect jump rings and how to choose the best earring hooks for your design. This is a no-mess workshop as all of the findings are made for you, they just need your keen eye to put them together!

What is included?

  • All materials and instructions
  • You create and take home 3 pairs of earrings on earring display cards
  • We will have cool drinks and tea and coffee available on the day.

Do parents/ guardians need to attend?

We do require parents and guardians to stay on-site for the duration of the workshop. They attend for free and we encourage this opportunity to work with children to help create designs and do something fun together.

Parents and Guardians can make their own earring pairs and purchase them on the day for $12 per pair or simply take some time out. We will have tables and chairs in an area for guardians so you can bring a book or laptop if you wish.

What is a crafternoon?

It was so hard choosing a name for my business as the words ‘craft’ ‘art’ ‘painting’ etc all come with their own images in our head. Crafting for many, conjures up images of paddle pop sticks or scrapbooking paper. Art is something we think only artists can make or it makes people stressed that what they create is not good enough. A lot of people also feel to paint, draw or sculpt you need to be an expert.

I want to change these views by making creating fun and something everyone feels safe to do. At Crafternoons with Kirst we offer workshops for a variety of people to explore different creative mediums. It is my aim for everyone who attends my workshops to take away:

  • New skills you can take away and use again
  • A piece of work you are proud of
  • New connections
  • A smile : -)

I run a variety of workshops year-wide in various venues around Brisbane and the Gold Coast but we can also come to you! Please contact me about a private workshop for

  • Special Celebrations
  • Baby Showers
  • Bridal Showers
