Daniel’s forthcoming seminar, "Embodimind: Diagnosing and Treating Cognitive Distortion looks at brain anatomy and physiology to measure the Soma/Psychic interface. The ‘Body’ is the’Mind’ and the ‘Mind’ is the ‘Body. Daniel will introduce a new model for diagnosis, where participants will learn how to combine deductive/analytical reasoning with skills in utilising inductive/intuitive reasoning. Yes, there are more ways to making the appropriate intervention, gaining real skills in integration. Looking at these two forms of gathering patient information, they are both logical but from different perspectives. Just as we misunderstand emotion and feelings, denying their yin/yang integrated duality, we can begin to see the aetiology of the disease. What are the psycho=physical distortions that limit healing. Daniel has that found using traditional medical modelling but without the metaphoric language of the ancients creates a far more accurate diagnosis. Uniting Soma & Psyche into a single condition that is governed by gaining ‘Being'

New research adds to the growing evidence that metabolic health affects the brain and can adversely affect mental health. Among more than 200,000 adults, high glucose and triglycerides and low high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol were associated with a higher future risk for depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders. Findings may support closer follow-up of individuals with metabolic dysregulations for the prevention and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders." The findings also suggest additional studies explore whether intervening in cardiometabolic diseases could counteract these associations. The associations between biomarker levels and the risk of developing depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders through the end of 2020 were examined using Cox proportional hazards regression models.

In addition, nested case-control analyses were conducted within the cohort, including all incident cases of depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders, and up to 10 control individuals per case who were individually matched to the case by year of birth, sex, and year of enrollment to the AMORIS cohort, using incidence density sampling. Population trajectories were used to illustrate the temporal trends in biomarker levels for cases and controls.
