Safe and Together Overview Training

The Safe & Together Model fills the gaps in knowledge and practice and assists all systems touching on domestic violence and child well-being to become domestic violence informed, supporting child well-being and safety across all partners in the domestic violence community.


This Training Will Cover:

This one-day training provides participants with an introduction to and overview of the Safe & Together Model. The training provides participants with information about creating a domestic violence-informed child welfare system, the principles and components of the Safe & Together Model and information on the framework behind competency-building in child welfare around domestic violence.


Learning Objectives:

  1. To introduce the perpetrator pattern framework.
  2. To introduce and understand the Safe and Together Model principles and components and how those guide practise in various roles.
  3. To introduce how to use the Safe and Together Model as a way to enhance good practise in Various roles.
  4. To share information about the range of activities and offerings from the Safe and Together Institute.
