About this event

  • 2 hours

The session starts with a wander around the riverside collecting leaves, stems, flowers and seed heads. The bush found objects will then be used for mono-printing onto paper or doing rubbing with a water-soluble graphite onto paper and colouring with watercolour.

Dana developed her love for these printing methods in Indonesia, where she practised different techniques with adults and children. She says, 'it’s easy to get beautiful results quickly and it’s fun to experiment'.

Polly McQuinns is a much loved site by locals and visitors alike and Dana has a special interest in restoring the native riparian vegetation.

The Strathbogie Ranges Conservation offers this workshop by Dana as part of their Drawn in Nature series. The project is funded by a Strathbogie Shire Council grant for community strengthening.

Registration includes materials and afternoon tea.
