Poetry in Place with Susie Anderson
inSITU: Workshop Series
What does the world around you have to say? Pay attention and every place has hidden layers waiting to share meaning. In this workshop, you will take an artist's look at places you see daily or surface things from your inner world, places within your imagination. Using the idea of "emotional landscapes" as a springboard, you will create poetry to reflect on what is embedded in places around us. Places have their own memory of the social, cultural, Indigenous, history, daily, spectacular or boring things that happened there. Led by textures, sights, sounds and smells you'll be encouraged to shift your attention and see what the poetry of place reveals.
