About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

The perinatal period includes one year before to 18-24 months after a child is born, and is an extremely important transitional phase for a new parent. There are environmental factors that can work protectively during pregnancy, with research showing that development is impacted through this entire time. This online seminar is designed for parents, carers and those concerned about a loved one who want to learn how to best support mental health during the perinatal peroid! That means you may benefit even if you want to support a friend or colleague during this time.

Whatever stage of the perinatal period you or your loved one are in, join psychologist Sahar Fattahi at this empowering online seminar and learn more about:

  • What are the normal/typical emotional changes/adjustments during this (perinatal) period;
  • What might clinical anxiety and depression look like?
  • When should we seek or recommend formal supports?
  • A taster on anxiety and depression management strategies.

It's important to note that this is not individual therapy, so specific queries are seldom able to be ethically answered without understand a full background of someone's history, development and current situation. We hope this is a safe place to start the journey!
