Welcome to the MedSurg Weight Loss, Total Upper GI Surgery and Weight Management Psychology Education Workshop. We're thrilled to have you join us on this journey towards a healthier lifestyle. We are specialised Bariatric and Metabolic Health Clinicians who are passionate about exceptional quality patient care and education. Parking is available in the multilevel car park adjacent to the Prince Charles Hospital. We will validate your parking for you so that it is free for you.
Tea, coffee, juice and light refreshments will be provided for morning tea. Please notify us of any specific dietary requirements and we will cater to your needs.
There is so much misinformation out there regarding obesity and available treatments for obesity. We hope to provide evidence based information to our local community to improve knowledge, eliminate stigma and discrimination and increase access to premium quality obesity care.
The workshop will be divided into 2 sessions which will contain 2 x 25 minute presentations each (total 4 presentations). Topics can be explored in the Agenda above. There will be time before, between and after the sessions to chat freely with our doctors and allied health professionals.
Anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in learning more about obesity treatments is welcome to attend. There is no charge for this event. Registrations are essential as places are strictly limited.
