Target Audience: Individuals exploring their career options, including traditional employment, self-employment, or developing side hustles.
Content:
· Comparison of employment and self-employment, including benefits, challenges, and considerations for each path.
· Strategies for identifying personal strengths and aligning them with career choices or business ideas.
· Practical steps for starting a side hustle, including idea validation and initial planning.
· An examination of the gig economy and independent contracting, including key differences from traditional employment models and the implications for personal finances and taxation. A practical guide to setting up as an independent contractor, covering legal, tax, and financial planning considerations.
· Workshop activity: Crafting a personal vision and action plan (roadmap) with milestones for career or business development, transitioning to self-employment or enhancing one’s career focusing on financial stability and flexibility.
