About this event

The University of Melbourne Parkville campus offers a variety of unique cultural, architectural and landscape features which play an important part in the history of the City of Melbourne and the story of Victoria.

The University is currently offering campus tours for prospective students each Tuesday and Friday at 10.00am. The tour takes about 75-90 minutes to complete and is led by current University of Melbourne undergraduate students.

The tours are designed to provide prospective students with an overview of the Parkville campus and personal insights to the study experience from a peer who has undertaken a similar decision-making process.

To join one of our tours, please register your attendance and be ready to meet your guides at 10.00am sharp at Gate 4 (the corner of Swanston Street and Monash Road) outside the Map ref H21 on the Parkville (all faculties) Map. The closest building to the meeting point is the Sydney Myer Asia Centre.

The campus is easily accessible by public transport with a tram stop nearby (Map ref I22)

The closest university car parks are located at Eastern Precinct (375 Cardigan Street, Carlton, near the corner of Elgin Street Map ref F24).

If you are unable to attend one of the set tour times, you can still visit us as the campus is open to visitors all year-round. You can download a self-guided walking tour map which provides you with a plotted history of campus architecture and other landscape features.
