The Noongar language classes start on Monday 10 June!
Classes will be on Monday’s from 5:30pm to 6.30pm at the Kwinana Library.
There will be four weeks of classes taught by Dylan Collard.
The sessions aim to teach Noongar language to adults, but more importantly, aims to inspire an inquisitive mind about Noongar culture in daily life. This kind of rich learning experience works to deepen our respect and understanding of Indigenous peoples and culture and is a great step towards respectfully infusing Indigenous ways of living, knowing, and memory keeping into our daily work practices.
Classes are on:
Monday 10 June – First class
Monday 17 June - Second class
Monday 24 June - Third class
Monday 8 July – Final class for this series.
** This is a four week block of classes that build on each other so unfortunately drop-ins/one-offs are not possible. You must attend all four classes (unless you’re sick of course). Partial refunds will not be given.
Class fees will be waived for Noongar attendees, please contact the Programs team on programs@kwinana.wa.gov.au or 9236 4300
